Mont Blanc (4808 m)
Trois Sommets Traverse

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and hardly needs an introduction for armchair mountaineers and mountain historians. The enormous massif is the birthplace of alpinism and still reigns as the sport's epicenter.

The Trois Sommets, or Three Summits, Traverse is an immensely enjoyable route that includes climbing over the high shoulders of both Mont Blanc du Tacul and Mont Maudit, with some techincal ice climbing, before reaching the summit dome of the big white mountain. Thanks to telepheriques and high mountain huts, the access to this wild, glaciated peak is easy. The climb itself is long and challenging, but the rewards are great and the views unequaled. We offer this trip in a 5-day itinerary that maximizes fun while acclimatizing, and offers an ascent of the ascent of the mountain by one of its finest moderate routes.
