Forrest is the definition of an outdoor enthusiast and has a serious passion for climbing in the mountains. Growing up in coastal New England, Forrest developed his spirit of adventure early. Much of his youth was spent sailing up and down the eastern seaboard or exploring the craggy White Mountains of New Hampshire. Forrest started climbing in high school and hasn’t stopped since. While at St. Lawrence University in upstate New York, Forrest worked as a student guide in rock/ice climbing and winter backpacking, leading his fellow peers into the nearby Adirondack Mountains. After graduating with a B.S. in Geology, he set his sights west to pursue a life of adventure and a career in guiding.
Forrest is continually pursuing rock, alpine, and ski certification through the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA). He is a NOLS graduate and a Wilderness First Responder. Forrest also has both his L1 and L2 AIARE certification.
Forrest now lives in Mammoth Lakes, California and spends the majority of his time venturing into the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains. He is an avid rock and ice climber with a real passion for technical mountaineering. In winter, his pursuit of mountain ascents couples well with his love for backcountry skiing and snowboarding. There is no other place in the world Forrest would rather be than the Eastern Sierra.
