ICE, ICE BABY!

To my fellow ice climbers:

First off, the road into Poole Plant is driving well, packed down. Make sure to park smart for others to get a spot too.

The trail has been redirected across the creek- you will go over it twice, but in great shape. You will want snowshoes to travel into the canyon. The trail in packed down and good to go.

The Main Wall

Is still looking thin, however, the Center Flow is climbable and people have been climbing Cave Man route! The Center Flow is climbing super fun and is fat enough to feel happy while leading and following.

Chouinards Walls

Coming in great and climbing super fun. Some thin sections, so swing lightly at times. People have been walking to the top to set up tope-ropes, be sure to call out ROPE! Throughout morning to midday- the ice went from brittle to hero ice (Definitely warmer on Saturday, 28th).  The ice is taking good screws, and the tree anchor is not covered with ice! Some of the other anchors are still covered so either naked v-thread or make own anchor of choice.

Happy Climbing!
